Class 1 or 3 Swing Operator/Labourer:

We are looking fore a competent versatile equipment operator, willing to swing over to general labour on any project when required. This swing role requires a class 1/3 license with a clean three years commercial driver’s abstract, a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test, a 3 years experience and typical industry safety certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles and machinery.

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection

• Complete and communicate hazard assessment

• Perform material and tools check start and end of day

• Prepare and Set up forms, strip forms. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Clean and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

• Perform additional tasks as directed by the Foreman or other supervisory staff to assist in the completion of the project.

Qualities we look for in potential employees:

• If you are no stranger to hard work, are physically Fit/ able to handle heavy loads up to 45kg (100lbs). 

• Able to work long hours in standing positions and doing repetitive tasks.  Able to work in a fast-paced environment.  Must be ok with heights.  Enjoy working outdoors.

• Committed individual capable, reliable and can take direction.

Expected Hours: 44 hours/week

Type of Job: Full time

Wage: 28.00-35.00

Location: Red Deer County
