SUMMARY
We are currently looking for a versatile candidate for a full time Class 1 Telebelt / Picker Crane Operator position to support our foundation and equipment divisions.
The ideal candidate will be mainly responsible for operating the telebelt and picker crane in construction sites, as well as driving the equipment from and to the job location.
Side responsibilities will be material hauling when support to our regular drivers is required, as well as the performance of some labour tasks related to the operation of the equipment.
Responsibilities:
Telebelt operation: Material placement in different job sites, including those with limited access, low clearance and challenging terrains.
Crane operation: Operate picker crane to lift, move and position construction materials. Determine safe lifting capabilities.
Class 1 Driver: Drive equipment and haul materials as needed to and from the job site.
Perform some labor tasks, if required, as a support to our Foundation division.
Requirements:
3 years minimum experience operating Telebelt / Picker Cranes
Specific equipment certifications are an asset
Valid Class 1 Drivers License – 3-year minimum experience.
Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract
Clean Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Test
Capabilities:
Physically Fit - able to handle heavy loads and access equipment heights to perform operational and maintenance tasks.
Able to perform labour tasks as required
Operate the equipment in a safe manner; perform daily inspections and regular maintenance tasks
Comply with all AOHS and Company Safety regulations
Ability to complete basic computer and app tasks
Ability to work long hours in a challenging environment
Ability to think and react quickly under pressure
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule:
Monday to Friday – full day
Saturday – half day
Wage:
Start at $30.00 / hr. depending on experience.
